May Love E-Letter 2018

IT’S NOT TOO HARD!

Spring is one of our favorite times of the year because it represents NEW beginnings. That is why Christi and I wanted to be married in the Spring. Our new season began 20 years ago and continues to be an amazing adventure together! But for any of us to have a new start in life, we must lay aside ALL that would distract. Two of the predominate lies the enemy uses to distract us from embracing our new start are:

                                               “It’s too late.

                                                         It’s too hard.”

Last month we addressed the first lie, “It’s too late.”  (Read it at shop.mylon.org/blogs/news) The second deception, is how the enemy tries to pressure us to back off of our faith in God’s Word. He tries to convince us that in the chaotic world we live, it is just too hard to serve God. But once again, the devil is a liar! The Truth of God’s Word is the only thing that will make us FREE. God said in Deuteronomy 30:11 that His Word, “...is NOT too difficult for us.” Then in Philippians 4:13 AMPC, “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.” We CAN DO EVERYTHING He instructed us to do in His Word because Christ the anointed One and His anointing abides in us to strengthen us!

So how do we STAY strong in the midst of turbulent times? Ephesians 6:10 explains that strength comes FIRST from our fellowship with The Lord: Be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength FROM HIM [that strength which His boundless might provides.]” The more we fellowship with Him in prayer and through studying His Word, the stronger we will be.

Another key to staying strong when you FEEL weak, is what comes out of your mouth. Joel 3:9-10 teaches us, Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men…Let the weak SAY, ‘I am strong.’ When we are in a battle that we think we cannot handle, the first thing we need to do is start declaring, “I AM STRONG in the LORD and in the POWER of His might!” This is SO important for us to understand. It’s time to get these phrases out of our vocabulary:

“I can’t”                  “I don’t know if I can handle this”             “This is too hard.”

Christi and I have agreed to NEVER let the words above come out of our mouth. We understand that if we speak those words, we are accepting defeat. The Most High is on our side. His power NO foe can withstand! WE… CAN… DO… THIS, by the Grace of God!

Finally, when we are tempted to quit, we STAY strong through the POWER of PRAISE. In Nehemiah 8:10, the prophet told the people to celebrate and “Do not sorrow, for the JOY of the LORD is your strength.” This lets us know that when we are full of joy, we will be strong. We cannot allow grief and sorrow to steal our peace and our joy! In Romans 4:20 we learn that Abraham (who waited over 20 years for the promise of Isaac to be fulfilled) “he grew strong and was empowered by faith AS he gave PRAISE and GLORY TO GOD!” Please understand that we are not just talking about praising God at church. Anyone can praise when the band is awesome, and the choir is singing! But do we praise God at home, behind closed doors, when no one’s looking? Especially when another bad report has come in? God calls this the sacrifice of praise. THIS is how we pass the test and rise above the lies of the enemy that “this is too hard.” Always remember that His GRACE IS sufficient for His power is made perfect in our weakness. (II COR 12:9)

For example, because we understand the power of our words, Christi and I are vigilant when we are traveling and ministering to NEVER talk about how tired we feel or how hard it is to travel constantly, etc. We KNOW that we will only feel worse if we talk about it. Instead, we look at each other and say, “Our sleep was sufficient for us to do our job for JESUS today. This is going to be a great day in the presence of the Lord. And a fruitful day for His kingdom!” When we practice this, we are suddenly strengthened to do what we did not think we could handle moments before. His grace responds to faith filled words!!

As you sow your precious seed this month, be mindful that Joel 3:14 implores us that MULTITUDES are in the valley of decision because Jesus is coming soon! We are sharing with millions through “On the Road to Freedom” that ‘it’s never too late’ and ‘it’s not too hard’ to serve God. Your giving is supporting our TV ministry to the multitudes. THANK YOU for helping us. You will share in the eternal reward for every life that is changed by the TRUTH that they can have a NEW Beginning with Jesus!

Our hearts are full of love and gratitude for you.

IT’S NOT TOO LATE!

No matter what challenge you may be facing today, please be encouraged that it’s never too late because we serve a God who raises the dead! This is what we are celebrating this month- the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior, JESUS!! HE IS RISEN! The enemy thought he had won. But JESUS CONQUERED DEATH, HELL AND THE GRAVE and ROSE IN TRIUMPH! Because of Christ’s VICTORY, we ALWAYS WIN in HIM! In prayer today, I was prompted to remind you, “Don’t believe the liar!” There are 2 major lies the enemy uses to stop us from choosing God’s Word and His ways:

“It’s too late.
           It’s too hard.”

Joel 3:14 explains why the enemy uses these lies so effectively in people’s lives: “Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near...” Notice the Lord says it twice here, MULTITUDES, Multitudes. When He repeats something, it is significant. This means a GREAT, indefinite number of people are making decisions right NOW to serve the Lord or to go their own way. The enemy whispers these lies to deceive them so that they reject the Lord’s promises of salvation, deliverance and abundance. This is the purpose for “On the Road to Freedom.” That they would know The Truth that would set them free!

For 20 years we have believed God for TV ministry. Last year, the Lord opened a wide door of opportunity and instructed us that NOW was the time to produce our first TV show. It was exciting but I’ll admit that, at age 73 it was not the project I was expecting!! Usually, you tackle something like this when you’re in your 30’s or 40’s. My natural mind was tempted to wonder if it was too late (and I was too old) for a vision this big. But I knew God had done this before! He promised Abraham in his old age that he would be the father of many nations and that his wife Sarah, who was way past child bearing years, would bear him his first son. Their powerful testimony is written in the Word so that generation after generation would know that nothing is impossible with our God! Romans 4:19-21 says that Abraham: "And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”

Notice that Abraham did not consider his or Sarah’s own body, the natural circumstance. They chose to believe the promise of God, when it was absolutely impossible in the natural! Isaac was born and the promise was fulfilled. In Hebrews chapter 11, God calls them HEROES of FAITH! We can rise up and become super-Heroes of Faith!

Please be encouraged today that it’s NEVER too late with our God! God REDEEMS THE TIME! To redeem time, is “to be diligent and active in duty and preparation.” Or “To rescue, recover, regain possession of…” God created and controls TIME. He proved with Abraham and Sarah that TIME does not hinder His promises from coming to pass. He will help us redeem the time by making the most of every day before He returns AND He will also recover any time that we lost due to sin, ignorance or the enemy’s attacks. He is a GOOD God! Joel 2:25 says, “So I will RESTORE (repay, replace, give you back what you lost, make up to you) the YEARS that the locust has eaten…”

The Creator of Time taught us in Ecclesiastes 3:1, “To everything there is a season, A TIME for every PURPOSE under heaven” This lets us know that we have seasons in life, times that are set in each of our lives for His purpose. They will all come to pass in HIS perfect timing for “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” (Ecc. 3:11) One thing I have learned in 38 years of serving God is that we can not hurry God’s perfect timing. This is why it is so important to remember how Abraham stayed strong in faith. As he was waiting for the promise to be fulfilled, “He gave praise and glory to God.” So let’s make the choice to “Bless the Lord at ALL TIMES...” Times of challenge or times of ease. Let’s start now! Please take a moment and say with me, “Lord, I trust you. My life and times are in your hands. I believe you are redeeming the time for me, even restoring years that I lost due to sin and bad choices. I will bless you Lord at ALL times for I am fully convinced that You will keep Your Word because You are honest!”

February Love E-Letter 2018

February Love E-Letter 2018

We are thrilled to report to you that when you receive this letter, we will have just aired our FIRST TV broadcast for “On the Road to Freedom!” This is a dream come true for us and many years in the making! It is a huge step of faith but God is faithful and He is leading us every step of the way. As Christi and I have been covering 2018 in prayer and seeking God for direction in our new TV Ministry, we realize that we will need to DOUBLE in resources, ability and anointing in order to do His will. Immediately, we were prompted to lay hold of God’s promises of the Double Blessing!

Isaiah 61:2 proclaims that this is “the acceptable year of the Lord-the year of His FAVOR!” As you know it is only by the gracious favor of God that we receive any blessing from The Lord. Verse seven says, “Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a TWO-FOLD recompense...Therefore in their land they shall possess DOUBLE; everlasting JOY shall be theirs.” This double blessing is so astonishing that others know we were not smart enough to become this blessed. Verse nine explains that, All who see them [in their prosperity] will recognize and acknowledge that they are the people whom THE LORD HAS BLESSED.” The world always recognizes blessing and they will acknowledge that we are the people The Lord has blessed! God gets all the glory!

Another powerful promise of double blessing is in Zechariah 9:12, “Return to the stronghold [of security and prosperity], you prisoners of hope; even today do I declare that I will restore DOUBLE your former prosperity to you.” Please notice here that we have a part in receiving double Blessing...we stay full of hope! It’s time to get our hopes up! You may have heard it said that hope is the blueprint for faith. Hebrews 11:1 explains, “Faith is the substance (evidence) of things HOPED FOR…” Answered prayers BEGIN with HOPE.

We see in Job 42:10, another essential factor: “And the Lord turned the captivity of Job and restored his fortunes, when he prayed for his friends; also the Lord gave Job TWICE as much as he had before.” Whoa! This is SO important because “Faith works by Love.” This means our prayers don’t get answered if we get out of love! The friends this verse is talking about did not encourage Job in the Word but instead rebuked him saying that all of the horrific tragedy he had suffered was his fault! (We’ve all experienced this religious devil!) I’m sure Job would have rather told them off instead of praying FOR them. But when Job chose to forgive and prayed for his friends, God was moved. At the moment of obedience, God restored his fortunes and gave him double for his trouble!

Please let me encourage you right now to CHOOSE to FORGIVE. CHOOSE LOVE, especially with those who have betrayed your trust. We don’t have to be best friends or hang out with them and we certainly don’t have to trust untrustworthy people. But we do need to forgive and pray FOR them. When we choose to obey, get ready to be overtaken!

As you give this month, speak over your seed the promises of possessing DOUBLE! Say this with me, “Father, I choose to forgive all those who have hurt me. I release them. I let it go. I pray for their deliverance and choose to stay full of hope in Your faithfulness. Therefore, in 2018, I believe according to Isaiah 61:7 that I will possess double! Double resources, ability, honor and joy! Others will notice and say, ‘That is the person the Lord has blessed!” Glory to God! Be excited knowing it is your giving that enables us to take this Good News to the nations through TV ministry. Jesus said in John 8:31-32, “If you continue in My Word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the Truth, and the Truth will make you free.” The more we continue in the Word, the freer we get. So as disciples of Jesus Christ, we are all…“On the Road to Freedom!”

January Love E-Letter 2018

January Love E-Letter 2018

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

What great expectation the beginning of a new year brings! For Christi and me, it represents a new adventure in God. At the beginning of each year, we make a list and thank Him for all the GOOD things He did for us the previous year. Then we make a list (a petition: specific requests) that we are believing for and thank Him in advance for all the good things He will do in 2018. This year, I believe He instructed us to encourage you that it’s going to be an awesome year, IF we have ears to hear!  This is His instruction:

“HEAR counsel, RECEIVE instruction, and ACCEPT CORRECTION, that you may be WISE IN THE TIME TO COME!” Proverbs 19:20

We are living the last of the last days before Jesus returns. A season that the Word describes as “perilous times that are hard to bear.” The only way we will live in victory is to walk in the WISDOM of God! Therefore, every time we come in contact with His Word, we need to be ready to HEAR the counsel of God, receive His instruction and gladly accept His correction. Most don’t like to discuss correction, or where we missed it, because our flesh (pride) always makes excuses for our choices. But please let me remind you that we are DESTINED to be CHANGED into the image of the Son of God. Every time I come in contact with the Word of God and compare myself to JESUS, I always need to change! Can a get an AMEN somebody?

Hebrews 4:2 teaches us that in order for The Word of God that we hear to be of any benefit to our life we must “join our FAITH with the Word that we hear.” We make the CHOICE to believe even if we don’t intellectually understand. For example, tithing does not make sense to our natural mind. After giving 10% to the work of the Lord, how is it possible that your money will go further on 90% than 100? It may not make sense but it works! Christi and I and millions of others can confirm it!

When we face daily challenges, do we do what we think is best (which is what Proverbs 3:5 calls “leaning on our own understanding”) OR do we do what God says? It doesn’t matter whether we believe it or understand it, what God says is THE TRUTH! Please let me encourage you that living by faith is the MOST important thing any Christian will ever learn to do! James 1:5-7 says that if we are double-minded then we should not expect to receive ANYTHING from the Lord. Double-minded means that we trust God by bringing the tithe but the next day we question if all of our needs will be met “according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”

For example, some Christians will gladly believe the truth that all their sins are forgiven and they are on their way to spend eternity in heaven. But teach them that Romans 13:8 commands us to, “Keep out of debt and owe no man anything, except to love one another…” and they question if that really is The Truth. When they choose to lean on their own understanding, they end up in bondage because Proverbs 22:7 explains, “the borrower is slave to the lender.”

How do we get from here to there? We must have ears to hear! Once we hear the word, we join our faith with it! We don’t question it. We don’t try to make it fit our lifestyle or personality or political correctness. We say “YES Lord!” Please let me encourage you that it’s time to HEAR The Word from our pastors, our teachers, and godly mentors as a Word from God! Be ready to hear counsel, receive instruction and accept correction. When The Lord corrects us, it is always for our GOOD! When we choose to believe the Word I Thessalonians 2:13 says that it is effective on our behalf:

“…because when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you welcomed it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which also
effectively works in you WHO BELIEVE.”

As you sow your precious seed this month, be encouraged that because you have received instruction in giving that you can expect wisdom in the time to come, particularly in the area of finances! Proverbs 3:16 says that in the way of wisdom is “riches and honor.” So get ready to receive insight, clarity and discernment for every financial decision that will bless your future and family. Don’t forget your giving is helping us share the wisdom of God now through our new TV ministry, “On the Road to Freedom” to those who can have a bright and blessed future too!

Happy New Year! We Love You,

Mylon & Christi

P.S. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and financial support, especially for TV equipment and editing costs. We want you to know that your agreement is producing in countless lives through the internet, church services and NEW TV ministry. We receive so many testimonies of those who are receiving The Word and therefore, it is effectively working deliverance, healing and provision in all those who believe!

December Love E-Letter 2017

December Love E-Letter 2017

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

It’s that wonderful time of the year! During the Christmas season, Christi and I enjoy all the beautiful decorations, the delicious Christmas goodies and most importantly, making special memories with those you love. This season joyfully celebrates John 3:16, “For God SO LOVED the world that HE GAVE His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” We celebrate the GIFT of our Lord and Savior, JESUS! God, Who is LOVE, GAVE His very best in the sacrifice of Jesus, to rescue us from the wages of sin. Then, “He shed His Love abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit” so that we could be known and recognized by His unconditional Love. One of the ways we do that is by following His example of giving.

We are taught in 2 Corinthians 9:6-15, exactly how to give. We can sow a little and then expect a little harvest OR we can give generously and expect an abundant harvest. We CHOOSE. We decide in our hearts what we can give cheerfully, never under pressure. When we give our best, God promises to meet every need in abundance so that we always have plenty to share with others. God also promises in this passage that not only will we be blessed in this life, but our giving produces ETERNAL REWARD. We are reminded that when we decide to be a giver, He will make sure that we always have the resources to give:

11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. (There is MOMENTUM in The Blessing and it is not affected by the economy!) And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this MINISTRY OF GIVINGthe needs of the believers will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God. 13 As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God. For your generosity to them and to all believers will prove that you are obedient (You are a doer of The Word) to the Good News of Christ. 14 And they will pray for you with deep affection because of the overflowing grace God has given to you. (THE GRACE OF GIVING) 15 Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!

Many believe that to be in ministry they have to be on a platform behind a pulpit. But this passage above teaches that when we give, we are in MINISTRY. When we minister in this GRACE of GIVING, the needs of the people are met and thanksgiving is proclaimed to our good God! Our giving PROVES that we are true believers of the Good news of the Gospel. When others see us coming, they should be happy because they know we are givers: of our time, money, smiles, encouraging words…Instead of happy to see us go because we are takers who drain them of their time, money and joy!

If you have never chosen to walk in this Ministry of Giving, NOW is the perfect time to begin! 1 Timothy 6:17-19 says, “As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud… nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment. 18 [Charge them] to DO good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal and generous of heart, ready to share [with others], In this way laying up for themselves [the riches that endure forever as] a good foundation for the future, so that they may grasp that which is life indeed.” ETERNAL REWARD!

Now you may have stopped reading at the words, “those who are rich” thinking you are disqualified. But please let me remind you that “The median ANNUAL household income worldwide is $9,733, and the median per-capita (per person) household income is $2,920, according to new Gallup metrics. Dec. 16, 2013” If we make more per year than these numbers above then according to the world’s average we are rich! If we choose each day to be givers instead of takers, the Holy Spirit leads us to those in need. It may be the cashier at the grocery store who needs some kind words or it might be the police officer or soldier in line with you that needs a smile and then buy him a coffee too! Christi and I are always in awe of how the Lord specifically directs us in our giving. The best part about choosing to be a GIVER is that it requires us to get our minds off ourselves and our problems! Acts 20:35 says, “It is more blessed (makes one happier) to give than to receive.” The Giving Life is The HAPPY LIFE!

As you give your precious seed, be encouraged that you are operating in the MINISTRY OF GIVING!! For which we and those we bless (through our upcoming TV ministry, the internet, and churches, etc.) will give great praise and glory to God! Don’t forget that our faith filled books, teaching CD’s and music make perfect Christmas Gifts. What better gift than The WORD! As you give, you are laying up for yourself a bright future, filled with glorious reward for all eternity!! Now that’s something to BE MERRY about!

Merry Christmas! We Truly Love You,

Mylon & Christi

November Love E-Letter 2017

November Love E-Letter 2017

 THE POWER OF AGREEMENT

If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.” Mark 3:25

For the past three months we have ministering to you about HOLY MATRIMONY. It has not been a “fun” teaching because surrendering to God’s will means you are no longer insisting on yours. That process of laying down selfish ambition and pride can be painful. But on the on the other side is such glorious freedom. Remember, we cannot be driven by our flesh and led by the Holy Spirit at the same time! When Christi and I are at peace with God and each other, that is when we hear the Lord the most clearly. Agreement is powerful! Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, “If two of you agree concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” When we stay in agreement with God and each other, that’s when DOORS OPEN that no man can close. But if we insist on our own way, division brings destruction. So, to live in peace we must refuse strife!

The devil is looking for any opportunity to steal our abundant life in Christ. Ephesians 4:26-27 says, “And ‘don’t sin by letting anger control you.’ Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” Christi and I have stayed up all night in what we call “heated discussions” in order to obey this instruction of not letting the sun go down on our anger. Boy, those were long nights! Nobody wins when strife rules. We just ended up exhausted! James 3:16 says, “For wherever there is jealousy and contention, there will also be confusion and all sorts of evil practices.” Jealousy (wanting what someone else has) and contention (strife and selfishness) opens the door to confusion (we can’t hear God when we’re confused) and EVERY evil work! That is why the enemy works tirelessly to divide us. If we are going to stay in agreement, we must be quick to forgive!

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, FORGIVE him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), in order that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive you. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.Mark 11:25-26

Even if the hurt is the most painful betrayal we have ever experienced, like everything else in the kingdom of God, we FORGIVE BY FAITH! We don’t forgive because we feel like it; we “live by faith!” To forgive means we release them completely of their debt and they owe us nothing. After we forgive, the only way to heal is to stop talking about it! LOVE COVERS a multitude of sins. Let your mate start over! If need be, every day. Remember God’s “mercies are new every morning” and ours should be too! Peter asked Jesus in Matthew 18:21-22, how many times should he forgive his brother “…and let it go? Up to seven times? Jesus answered him, I tell you, not up to seven times, but seventy times seven!” The bottom line is, according to Jesus, there should be no limit to our love. Here’s the key: First Corinthians 13:5 says that Love “pays no attention to a suffered wrong.” The truth is, the more spiritual we are, the less we notice when others say or do something hurtful.

From Christi: Please understand Mylon and I pray over decisions together and we communicate with each other what we both have heard from the Lord. Because we have settled this issue of God’s order in the home, we rarely disagree. If we do disagree, then we wait on the Lord until we both hear clearly. BUT if there is a time constraint, Mylon has the final say. I understand that God has anointed him to be the head and he understands his responsibility of answering to God for the leading of our home and ministry. Our modern culture says that submission is weakness and allowing the husband to lead, makes you less of a woman. But believe me, trusting God and my husband takes a whole lot more faith and strength then doing what my flesh wants! It’s a beautiful thing, to obey God. The reward is a BLESSED MARRIAGE…BLESSED LIFE!

As we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday this month, let it be a reminder to refuse strife by choosing instead to BE THANKFUL for your mate! I encourage you to make a list of all the good things they do and tell them! Christi and I practice this and it always ends in lots of hugs and smooches. We’d love the opportunity to tell you in person how thankful we are for you. Please see our itinerary at www.mylon.org for when we are coming to your area! Also, don’t forget to see the NEW FREE TEACHING available on our site.

As you sow your precious seed this month, you can give with a thankful heart knowing that you are helping us to share the Love of God around the world through the TV production of “On the Road to Freedom.” “For God loves a cheerful (joyous) giver [whose heart is in his giving].” (II Cor. 9:7) When you cheerfully give, He promises that He will make ALL GRACE ABOUND towards you, then you will have more than enough to meet your needs and continue to give to the work of the kingdom. We serve a good God! Now that’s something to be thankful for!!

We love you very much,

Mylon & Christi

 P. S. Thank you for your giving that is supplying TV equipment and filming/editing costs to share the Good News, and it also “overflows in many [cries of] thanksgiving to God.” (II Cor. 9:12) Please know that we are offering up much praise and thanksgiving for you!

A WISE WOMAN

The past few months Mylon and I have been teaching on Holy Matrimony and this month Mylon as asked me to minister to the wives. There is such dishonor in our society today for the marriage union. God, who is the Creator of the marriage covenant said that it should be “esteemed worthy, precious, and especially dear.” (Heb. 13:4) We must value holy things in order for there to be any growth. For many years I thought it was ok to “freak out” because I did not value peace. We can get to heaven “freaking out” but that wrong way of thinking began to cause problems in our marriage and ministry. To have something different, you must want something different. So when I decided I wanted a different life, God began to show me in His Word that He has called and anointed me to LIVE 24/7 at PEACE. When I obeyed His instructions, they set me free to enjoy life at a level that I did not know was possible! That is exactly what God wants to do for every marriage. He is ready to make our home on Earth as it is in heaven!

Every wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one tears it down with her own hands.”
Proverbs 14:1

In the verse above, please notice that it is the woman God gives the responsibility to build her home. He doesn’t even mention men here! We live in a culture where the motto of the day is “Girl Power.” God, Who is the ultimate “equal rights” in Christ advocate, has given women a powerful place. Based on the Lexical definitions of the words above, it would read: “A woman who lives her life according to God’s principles, increases, strengthens, establishes and preserves her family, household and dwelling place. BUT the woman who revolts and openly renounces God’s Law to which she owes allegiance and chooses to willfully violate that law, pulls down, destroys and utterly ruins her family by her own power and strength.” She can’t blame her husband for this one. Girls, we got the power! Are we going to use the anointing to build our home or tear it down? How does a wise woman build her house? By OBEDIENCE!

God’s instructions to wives are reiterated in three different Epistles under the New Covenant of GRACE. Ephesians 5:21-24 says, “Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. For wives, this means submit to your husbands as (a service) to the Lord.

For a husband is the HEAD of his wife as Christ is the head of the church…. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should submit to your husbands in everything.” Paul, the apostle of GRACE, begins by addressing the church body that we should submit one to another. What follows dispels any myth that leadership in the marriage is 50/50. Wives are specifically instructed to submit to their husbands in everything, NOT to men in general! The definition of SUBMIT is: “To yield, surrender to the power, will or authority of another; to yield without murmuring.” Please understand that submission is not agreement. Agreement means “of the same opinion.” Submission only begins when we disagree with our husbands but make the choice to yield to their leadership AND do it with a good attitude. I’m still working on that one, HA!

Another meaning of submission in I Peter 3:1 is to adapt yourselves to them.” In the early years of our marriage, I kept trying to get Mylon to adapt to what I wanted. But God called wives to adapt to the husband’s needs, NOT the other way around. I was constantly contending for control and negotiating for leadership. The breakthrough came when I saw that submitting to Mylon as God’s appointed head and giving him the final say, is a service to The Lord. For example, if someone were to ask me, “Christi, are you submitted to God?’ Boy, I would have fought them over that one, fervently contending that Jesus is my Lord and Master. Then if they asked, “Are you submitted to Mylon?’ I would have answered, “Well, you don’t understand” followed by a whole bunch of excuses. In prayer one day, The Lord mercifully revealed His Word to me in a way that forever changed our marriage. He said, “Christi, you can’t BE submitted to Me and NOT BE submitted to Mylon because I am The One Who told you to do it!”  Wives, please understand that in the same way we submit to Jesus, we will submit to our husband. If we are truly submitted to our Lord Jesus in everything, then we will submit to our husbands in everything. Please let me clarify that Mylon does not control or dominate me. He leads by example and continually keeps the Word of God as The Standard in our home. As far as I’m concerned, he’s pretty close to perfect! I chose obedience that day in prayer and submitted to the Word. From that moment of decision, God’s grace showed up and enabled me to do as a wife what I had not been able to do before! Glory to God, today I can testify that we have Holy Matrimony!

We would love the opportunity to encourage you and your family in person. Check our itinerary at www.mylon.org. If you are unable to attend, don’t forget that many church services are LIVE streamed. HOLY MATRIMONY | Love Gives

As you know, we began a series last month titled, Holy Matrimony. Because of the evil assault we have witnessed on marriages in the Body of Christ, Christi and I felt compelled to share with you some of our personal testimony. If you are single and believing for a mate, these truths are also essential for you to learn for your future relationship. Years ago, The Lord spoke to me, Spiritual maturity can be seen in someone’s life by how many long term relationships they have. The reason is because in order to maintain long term relationships, we must be quick to forgive and refuse to be offended. That’s LOVE, which is our highest call as Christians. (I Cor. 14:1) Love is also the husband’s highest call before God:

Husbands, LOVE your wives, as Christ loved the church and GAVE Himself up for her, So that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the Word…Even so husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it, as Christ does the church…” Ephesians 5:25-29 (AMPC)

Please notice that husbands are to LOVE by GIVING their lives for their wives as Christ gave His life for us. Contrary to popular belief, Love (especially within the marriage covenant) is not 50/50. Remember GOD IS LOVE. He is our perfect example. For God SO LOVED that He GAVE His highest and best in Jesus. He gave 100% “while we were yet sinners” and we could give nothing in return. LOVE GIVES with ‘no strings attached!’ When we gave our lives to Christ, He “shed His Love abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit” so that we could give His Love to others. Please understand that we will reap what we sow. (Gal. 6:7) For example, the reason I can cheerfully wait in the ladies shoe department while Christi shops is because I am sowing! I am sowing time, attitude and patience. I don’t want her on the back of my Harley, riding thousands of miles and complaining. Another example is when Christi decided to learn how to cook, I told her I would help by doing the dishes. The harvest I have reaped is that she now enjoys Harley riding as much as I do AND she cooks delicious meals for us that I prefer to restaurants! You reap what you sow, Praise God!

In order to obey God’s next instruction to wash our wives in the water of the Word, every day I make the time to lead us in prayer. At our house, we don’t let the world into our lives until we both have had our quiet time with the Lord (& our coffee!) We also take the time to receive the Word together in church, in conferences or watching our favorite teachers on TV and the internet. One of our favorite things to do as a couple is spend time together sharing the revelation God gives us in His Word and praying in agreement concerning it!

Husbands, please remember that your wife is God’s daughter. He takes how we treat His daughter very seriously. He says in 1 Peter 3:7, “In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be (physically) weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.” If we don’t Love our wives the way God instructed us to, it will hinder our prayers because Love is what causes our faith to work. (Gal. 5:6) We are also to live with understanding of our wives. With Christi, if I know she is having a difficult day and needs encouragement, I make an effort to speak words of love to her. If we sow words of love, we will reap lovingkindness from our mate. Because I also know she thinks “chocolate chip cookies make everything better,” then sometimes, we get cookies too! We both are looking for ways each day to GIVE to one another, preferring one another’s needs over our own.

There are many reading this today and your marriage is at a dangerous crossroads. The future of your life, marriage and family could go either way depending on what you choose. I will admit there was a time early in our marriage when we were at a crossroads and it could have gone either way. By the grace of God, we both chose to submit to His Word and obey His instructions. Please let me encourage you to read those instructions and promises to each other out loud and then take communion over it. Christi and I have never had God not show up and grant us wisdom and strength to overcome. In other words, we had a breakthrough!

We’d love the opportunity to help you receive your breakthrough. Please check our itinerary at www.mylon.org and come see us! Just as we reap what we sow in our relationships, we will also reap what we sow financially into the Kingdom. II Corinthians 9:6 promises that “If we sow (give) sparingly, we will reap sparingly. If we sow generously, we will reap generously.” Your generous giving is helping us pay for TV equipment and filming/editing costs of our new TV show, “On the Road to Freedom!” You can expect a generous HARVEST is on its way!

We honor and appreciate you!

Mylon & Christi

 P. S. Through TV and the internet, we are literally taking this message of LOVE GIVES around the world! Thank you for helping us to let people know how much God loves them. Don’t forget to receive encouragement yourself from our FREE resources at www.mylon.org. We are always looking for ways to be a big blessing to you!

 HOLY MATRIMONY

“Let marriage be held in honor (esteemed worthy, precious, of great price, and especially dear) in all things.” Hebrews 13:4

There is a great attack against marriage in our culture today. Where there is no honor but in fact, a blatant disregard for the institution of marriage as a worthy endeavor. The Lord recently instructed us to teach on the difference between Holy Matrimony and marriage. There is a difference! Anytime that word HOLY is mentioned that means God is involved. Over the next few months, we will be sharing our testimony with you concerning the principles we have learned from God’s Word that have resulted in us enjoying Holy Matrimony.

God IS good and He is the architect of Holy Matrimony. The only way we are going to have a GOOD MARRIAGE is with God in control! For example, Christi and I are no longer fighting for the last word, we have both made the absolute commitment that The Word of God is The Final Authority in our home. We’re not negotiating for control, the Holy Spirit is in control at our house. I cannot overemphasize this truth. It is the key to a successful marriage and life…THE WORD OF GOD IS THE FINAL AUTHORITY IN OUR HOME! Whatever the Word says, easy or challenging, is THE TRUTH. We have both entered covenant (a decision from which there is no return) with God concerning His Word that we will “Choose Life” through submission and OBEDIENCE. (Deut. 30:19)

Therefore, our relationship with Jesus must be our first commitment because obedience is the outward demonstration of a heart in love with Him. (John 14:15) Jesus is our First Love. Christi and I both loved Jesus before we loved each other. GOD IS LOVE and understanding and sharing His Love is what makes us a good husband/wife. Jesus also taught in Matthew 10:37-38 that we are not to love or take more pleasure in our family (defined as: mother or father, son or daughter) more than we do Him. In other words, our chief commitment again is to our First Love. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says that God has placed eternal purpose in you that “nothing under the sun (a successful career, marriage or money) but God alone can satisfy.” Our mates do not and cannot complete us. We are complete in Him! (Col 2:10)

After our relationship with Jesus, according to the Word, the bond between husband and wife supersedes all other relationships. Ephesians 5:31-32 says, “a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ This is a great mystery, but it is an illustration of the way Christ and the church are one.According to these verses, we can observe the marriage union, how one treats their husband/wife and know their commitment to Christ, wow! We need to ask ourselves this tough question-

When others observe how we treat and speak to our mate, are they seeing a representation of our honor and love for Jesus

We understand this teaching is not ‘baby food.’ We are serving up ‘meat and potatoes’ when we discuss God’s instructions for Holy Matrimony. And the only way to get from here to there is to deny ourselves. For marriage to truly be a reflection of Christ and the Church, all selfishness, self-worth and self-respect which are all rooted in pride must be crucified! In Luke 9:23 Jesus said, “If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests…] and take up his cross daily and follow Me…” We must get our minds off ourselves (our needs and wants) and quit focusing on what our spouse is or isn’t doing for us. Your First Love, Jesus, is the only one who can meet every need. It’s time to GROW UP so we are not so needy, insecure and selfish. When we grow up, we aren’t takers anymore, we become GIVERS! Christi and I can testify that when we made the decision to grow up and started looking for ways to out-give each other, it became heaven on earth at our house!!

Giving is the highest expression of LOVE. John 3:16 says, “For God SO LOVED the world THAT HE GAVE.” As you give this month, do so motivated by your love for The Lord and His people. You can see for yourself at www.mylon.org how we are taking this message of Love to the world through the internet, TV ministry, books, ministry events, prisons, etc. When you sow with the pure motive of love, get ready…LOVE that conquers ALL is going to be show up and prove again how much He Loves You!

We love and appreciate you!

Mylon & Christi

P.S. TV Update: We are continuing to format our new TV show and coming up with ideas for editing that have never been done before! We will keep you informed along the way. Just know that your agreement in prayer and faithful giving are providing for the equipment, filming and editing of “On the Road to Freedom” and will soon reach the world with the Love of God!
