WHAT DO YOU DESIRE? 🙏

WHAT DO YOU DESIRE?

Dear Partner,

The beginning of a new year is always exciting because we serve a good God! What a comfort to know that the chaotic world around us doesn’t determine our future. Our faith in God does! In Jeremiah 29:11 His never changing plans for us are “for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Be encouraged today that in Christ, we always have a bright future!

We heard our father in the faith, Kenneth Copeland, prophesy recently that in 2022 we’d see things come to pass that we know should’ve come to pass years ago. When we filmed On the Road to Freedom with Brother Copeland in 2019, (You can watch those five powerful shows on demand at www.mylon.org) he taught on Mark 11:24 where Jesus said,

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 KJV

Brother Copeland looked at us intently and said, “What do you desire?” We were both taken aback at this simple but bold question. In Psalms 37:4 God said that He would give us the desires of our heart. Desires are important to the Lord because they “influence our will and make us proceed to action.” (Websters 1828 Dictionary) If we allow God to work in us, Philippians 2:13 says that He will “create in us the power and DESIRE, both to will and to work for HIS good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” AMPC

Please understand: Letting God work in us produces right desires that will move us to righteous action that will reap eternal rewards. Wrong desires move us to unrighteous action that will reap disappointment and destruction.

The solution to keeping our desires in alignment with God’s will is in Psalms 37:4: “DELIGHT yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the DESIRES of your heart.” We need to ask ourselves and answer honestly: What is our delight? Delight is defined as:A high degree of pleasure, or satisfaction of mind; joy.” According to Psalms 1:2, our delight should be in “the law of the Lord.” When the delight of our life is our relationship with The Lord through His Word, He works in us and causes our desires to align with His will. That’s when we start seeing our dreams come true as He begins to grant “the desires and secret petitions of our heart.” AMPC

To see our heart’s desire fulfilled, Mark 11:24 also explains that we must “believe that we receive when we pray.” It takes no faith to believe when the desire is already manifested. The final step in verse 25 of Mark 11 instructs us, “And when ye stand praying, FORGIVE, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” The Love of God “shed abroad in our hearts” by the Holy Spirit is quick to forgive. Galatians 5:6 explains that our faith only works BY LOVE. We could say, heart desires are fulfilled by and through LOVE. So, simply put: If our dreams aren’t coming true, we need to check our love walk. We can always take the “Love Test” in I Corinthians 13:4-8 to find out how we’re doing! Love forgives and love also GIVES. (John 3:16)

At the beginning of this new year, as you give your “first fruits” because of your love for The Lord, please declare with us: “My delight is in The Lord and in His Word! God is working in me, giving me the desire and the power to do what pleases Him. I believe I receive when I pray and I forgive all those who have hurt me. In 2022, I believe I will see the desires of my heart even those secret petitions from years past, all come to pass!”

According to Psalms 20:4, our prayer over you this year, “May The Lord grant you according to your heart’s desire, And fulfill all your purpose.” We love you and wish you a very…

HAPPY NEW YEAR,
