Dear Partner,

Recently, we had a friend who we honor and respect go to heaven suddenly. In the past year, there have been many friends and loved ones whose transition to heaven was a shock. All the while, we were fighting the fight of faith ourselves as we walked “through the valley of the shadow of death.” And praise God we’re on the victory side! This unique season is a sobering reminder of Psalms 90:12 NLT, “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” We grow in wisdom when we understand that in comparison to eternity our time here on earth is momentary. We don’t want to waste countless days on foolish things that have no eternal value.

If we had one last conversation with a loved one, what would we say? What would we do?
Jesus is coming soon.

This is our assignment for 2022. Mylon recently preached this word from God at our home church, Please connect on our YouTube page to watch this life changing message. This year every letter we write, every time we preach and every On the Road to Freedom episode we film, this one thought will be our filter: ONE LAST CHANCE. With all our heart we admonish you, it’s time to go all in! The Lord is ready to give us “wisdom for the time to come” because He “knows the end from the beginning.” (Isaiah 46:10) Proverbs 4:7 says God’s wisdom is “the principle thing” we need to live victoriously in these last days before Jesus returns. But wisdom only comes IF we choose to “hear counsel, receive instruction and accept correction.” (Proverbs 19:20) To gain wisdom’s reward, we must humble ourselves:

“Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” I Peter 5:5-7 NKJV

  • Who are we submitted to? Can anyone tell you “No”? No matter your natural age, God has placed elders in each of our lives essential for our spiritual growth.
  • Are we humble in our relationships with others? Or do we think more highly of ourselves than we ought? (Romans 12:3)

Humility Submits, Pride Resists. If we refuse to submit to God’s commandments, then our pride forces Him to oppose us when we desperately need His grace and favor to accomplish anything that has eternal value. Making Jesus Lord means we SUBMIT to His Lordship. His Word is final authority.

Why do we make Jesus Lord? The who, what, when and where questions are important but the most important is WHY. Until we know why we won’t obey and settle the issue. Why would we give 10% of all of our increase and offerings? We won’t bring the tithe for example, unless we really believe God is honest. If we’re hoping, we’ll quit when it gets hard. Why would we forgive unconditionally? Why be kind, gentle and peaceful instead of harsh and raising our voice at our spouse or children? Do we have the fruit of the Spirit? King Jesus emphasized the importance of His fruit in our lives in Matthew 7:20, “By their fruit, you will know them.” Even though Jesus may be our Savior, unless we have the fruit of the Holy Spirit demonstrated in our choices, words and actions, He is not our Lord.

Maybe our excuse has been, “Well, that’s just who I am.” NO, that’s who you were! Being easily offended, having a quick temper and a sharp tongue is the old man. 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL things are become new.” If we realize we still have some of the “old man” habits, we need to humble ourselves and surrender our will. The new man in Christ means ALL the old has passed away, not some. If you’re ready to surrender all, please say with me, “Jesus is my Lord. He is Lord over my money, Lord over my temper and Lord over my emotions. Jesus is Lord over my words, actions and reactions. I want my life to be a witness that I belong to Him!”

As you faithfully sow your seed this month, you are adding action to your faith that Jesus is Lord over your finances. You can rejoice knowing you are sowing seed that will reap ETERNAL REWARD. Every one of us will give an account for our life. (I Peter 4:5) On that day, we’ll be so glad we gave to the Lord’s work. We declare the blessing of the Lord over you and believe you are making every moment count for JESUS!

We Love You,

Mylon and Christi
